Benefits of Noni Fruits

Most people want to know about the benefits of Noni fruit. It is studied that Noni fruit is a fruit which provides numerous health benefits. It is noticed that Noni fruits is widely grown in tropical locations. This fruits is referred to in different ways in different regions of the world. In some place this fruit is referred to as nono, nonu etc. In India Noni is referred to as Indian Mulberry. Cheese fruit and Ba Ji Tian are other two names used to refer to Noni fruit. This fruit does not grow on shrubs but trees of 12 ft height. Initially when the fruit is not ripen it looks green and after growing it turns pale and contains darker seeds. For a Noni food to be ready to eat, it takes around three months.

It should be known that unlike other fruits this fruit is said to be malodorous, which means it has stinky odor, moreover, it is not like other fruits as it is not tasty as well. It is also believed that some people also use other parts of the tree for treatments such as stem, bark, leaves, flower etc.  Noni fruit is rich is phytochemicals for example, terpenoids, rutin, damnacanthal etc. These natural phytochemicals are believed to have numerous health benefits. How was Noni fruit discovered?

It is believed that noni or in other terms benefits of noni fruits was researched and discovered approximately 2,000 years ago by south- pacific Polynesians. The fruit was in fact a south- east Asian fruit as it was originated here, but Polynesians discovered they were cured of major health issues after eating this fruit. Ands this fruit was then known as “the fruit of God”.

Polysaccharides:
The Noni fruit contains Polysaccharides which are also sometimes referred to as glycosides or galactose etc. These fruits are known to possess anti- bacterial; properties. Moreover, this fruit is also beneficial reducing or eradicating tumors as well as cancer to certain extent.

Scopoletin:
Another benefit of Noni fruit is due to its content of scopoletin. This compound is good for human vascular system as it dilates the blood vessels and may also reduce hypertension or blood pressure. Scopoletin is a phytochemical which is also known for its anti- inflammation properties.  This may also help people who are suffering from headache to get relief from the pain.  It is studied that scopoletin also possess anti- fugal as well as anti bacterial properties. It is also histamine inhibitor which is beneficial for people who suffer from allergies.

Reduces Cholesterol:
It is also studied that Noni helps in reducing cholesterol level as well as degree of triglyceride. For reducing cholesterol and triglycerides you should drink Noni fruit juice daily for approximately one month. Mian-Ying Wang researched on this property of the juice and experienced the affects of the fruit on his own body. He realized that the juice was efficacious in improving health conditions and reducing cholesterol.  

There are other benefits of Noni fruits. Every 100 grams of Noni fruit contains 55 percent fiber. This fruit also contains lower fats and has 12 percent protein in it. There are other nutrients in this fruit such as vitamin c, vitamin bs3, vitamin A, iron as well as sodium etc.
