Is Generic Viagra for everyone?

Viagra and generic Viagra as we all know is a drug that gives man an erection. But since its inception this drug has been misinterpreted a lot. Viagra is a drug meant to cure the male erectile dysfunction. Men who suffer from ED are unable to get an erection when they are sexually turned on, due to the lack of blood flow into the male reproductive organ. And because of this they are unable to penetrate during the act of love making. The Sildenafil citrate (a chemical known to increase the blood flow in the human body), is the main ingredient in Viagra as well as generic Viagra.

However Sildenafil has certain drawbacks due to which not everyone is advised to take it. Below is the list of people who should restrain from Viagra usage.

1.      Viagra is intended for men suffering from ED hence should be strictly avoided my men who do not have ED, the same goes for women, children and teenagers; they too should refrain from its usage.

2.      Sildenafil is a PDE-5 inhibitor, so in case someone is allergic any other PDE-5 medicines then they should not take Viagra or any other generics.

3.      People who are on chronic nitrate drugs should not take Viagra as a combination of these two will yield in a serious catastrophe. Nitrate drugs are taken by those with heart ailments and for this reason heart patients should not take Viagra

4.      Men suffering from serious cases of heart diseases, liver and kidney abnormalities, high blood pressure, sickle cell anemia are requested to stay off Viagra.

Although generic Viagra and Viagra are considered safe, the men with above mentioned health issues can consume it if given the go ahead by a physician who knows their health history.
